Resources

resources

I spend a bunch of time trying to learn more about creating art, what inspires people, and also the business of art. Below are a list of resources and web sites I have found helpful. Most of it is pretty basic stuff, but sometimes that’s just what we need to put things back in perspective…keep it simple!

Tara Gentile

Do you want someone to kick you in the but and get you going? Well this lady is it! Tara is just awesome! Inspiration and action are what she is all about! Just a little secret…her e-course is what taught me to build this website!

Handmadeology

“The Science of Handmade.” This is a great resource for Etsy sellers. As they say, they are dedicated to the handmade movement by teaching crafts people and artists how to communicate and present their work to its best advantage. They have many terrific free e-courses and a wonderful forum. Many other sellers contribute daily to their content so it’s always fresh. I highly encourage any seller to become a part of this terrific community!

Meylah

I really can’t say enough about the new marketplace/blog/learning resource of Meylah. I joined Meylah last year and it has proved to be an excellent marketplace. It’s smaller than Etsy so your chances of getting noticed are a lot greater! I’ve already had several sales while it took me months on Etsy. But the best thing about this site is the tools it gives you to succeed. Your blog, social networking, and product are all there in one place!

The people that are running Meylah are absolutely wonderful. You will instantly feel a part of a smart, caring, and giving community! JOIN!
